What Are Prompts?
Art by Feniick.
Prompts are the driving force behind ARPGs like Kebanzu Crossroads! They help flesh out your character(s) and the world they live in, and are a way to earn currency used to buy traits, pets, etc. Prompts can take the form of writing/prose or visual/drawn artwork.
Types of prompts

- Weekly Prompts: Weekly prompts take place in the Discord Server and are posted directly to the server.
- Mini Prompts: Permanent prompts that can be done anytime. These are small and simple prompts to explore your character with a small ES reward.
- Monthly Prompts: Time-limited prompts that change monthly. These usually revolve around certain themes or places, have higher requirements for completion, and also issue higher ES rewards.
- Event Prompts: Time-limited prompts that occur for one month each season (April, June, October, December) and issue seasonal currency (Enchanted Roses, Sand Dollars, Candycorn, and Candycanes) depending on which event it is. These are released in waves throughout the month of the event.
- Storybook Prompts: These are a subset of Event Prompts and occur concurrently. They are a series of three prompts illustrating a single story. Once you complete the first prompt, the second is unlocked, and so on. These prompts have set rewards that do not fluctuate with the number of characters/words etc and often have a final reward and badge when all three are completed.
- Location Prompts: Released as monthly prompts, these prompts then become permanent fixtures in which you can earn special badges.

Finding prompts
On the navigation bar at the top of the page, click PROMPTS >PROMPT LIST. From there, you can choose to look at specific categories of prompts outlined above, or a list of all prompts. Be mindful of the time and date on any event prompts, and note that any prompts marked EXTENSION ONLY are for users who requested an extension prior to the end of an event.
Submitting Prompts
There's a guide for submitting prompts here. You can also see RESOURCES >GUIDES >Submission Guide.
Rules for Completing Prompts
- If you own a Kebanzu Crossroads character, you must use your own character in any prompts you complete. You may also use other users kebs in addition to yours if you have permission or the character is marked as being open for giftart on their profile (which you can find on the left column on their masterlist entry. You can also search the masterlist specifically to find kebs open for giftart.)
- If you do not yet own a Kebanzu Crossroads character, you may use Nat or Alex.
- Once you own a keb, you can still include Nat in your prompt entries as you would any other keb, but if you own a keb, you must include your own keb in your prompts for them to be valid.
- Please keep prompt entries relevant to the prompt itself.
- Do not work on any prompts before they are made active.
- Please make sure your prompt entry reaches the minimum requirement listed in the rewards breakdown. Monthly prompts do not require shading, while event prompts do.
- Make sure your prompt entry is in the correct folder. Please note that galleries have subgalleries. You can submit your work offsite, but make sure we have access if you link a google drive file, for example. Please do not submit discord image links as they expire after 24 hours.
- Be sure to grab the gallery link right away and submit that link as a prompt as outlined in the submission guide or your submission will not be processed.
- Monthly prompts can be entered once per month.
- Seasonal Event prompts can be entered once per prompt per year.
- Mini prompts can be entered once for each keb you own.
- Reusing background elements or art of any kind in your prompt entry is not allowed. Each prompt entry should be unique. The same goes for using character bases; prompts should use unique art only.
- Check individual prompt requirements for rules specific to that prompt as they may vary!
Rewards for Completing Prompts
A detailed outline of currency rewards for Mini, Monthly, and Event Prompts can be found here or by selecting PROMPTS >PROMPT REWARDS from the navigation menu. However, be sure to thoroughly read the information on each prompt to see what that specific prompt will award! Some prompts, such as storybook prompts, have set rewards which do not follow the usual reward charts.
